Dear Johannes,

thanks for the warning, I will look into this.

I am also taking care if another issue
http://www.dynare.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4355

However, it will be a bit slow because I had an accident one week ago and broke my arm, so I have some limited efficiency at work.

Concerning your questions:
1) this can be  done;
2) there is a bug in there, I'll fix it.

best
Marco

Dear Marco,

could you at some point have a look at this: http://www.dynare.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4402

1.       Currently, identification only prints out the error code from info, but does not display the explicit error message of print_info. What do you think about making this more explicit?

2.       I don’t know if there is a way to avoid the problem and continue to run identification. I tried moving the identification command before the estimated_params-block in order for prior_exist to be set to 0 (line 102-109). However, then identification crashes in line 130 with

??? Error using ==> dynare_estimation_init at 153

ESTIMATION: the 'estimated_params' block is mandatory (unless you are running a smoother)

Thus, there seems to be some inconsistency between Dynare_identification and dynare_estimation_init

Best,

Johannes
