There are several problems with this: 1) As stated on the site, the instruction is “brew install dynare” not “brew dynare” 2) There should be no line break. The user has typed "—with- matlab” and not “—with-matlab" The user should read the github site more carefully. Best, Houtan

Hi Mac Users, A friend of mine tries to install Dynare on OS X 10.11.5 via homebrew, following the guidance at https://github.com/DynareTeam/dynare <https://github.com/DynareTeam/dynare>. However, the options passed are not correctly translated:
Bs-iMac:~ bb$ brew dynare --HEAD --with-matlab=/Applications/MATLAB_R2015b.app --with-matlab-version=R2015b --without-octave -v ==> Reinstalling homebrew/science/dynare with --with-matlab=, --with-matlab-version=, --without-octave
As you can see, both --with-matlab and --with-matlab-version suddenly have empty arguments, giving rise to
Error: You must build Dynare with Matlab and/or Octave support
Does anyone know what is going on?
