Thanks Houtan, I did not test your code but I think you can merge it in master so that Ferhat can test it with gpm tomorow. If there is a problem with importdata we can revert the merge or change the test for octave to something equal to zero before we find a fix. Best, Stéphane. I just pushed a modification to load_csv_file_data.m that should make it work noticeably faster on Matlab. Though I have tested it a bit, in order to avoid breaking anyone's code, I pushed it onto a branch called matlabLoadCSV.

If you have a free moment, please test it. Once you've had a chance to test it, I'll merge it onto master (probably on Monday).
